If your account is configured for multi-factor authentication (MFA) using Microsoft Authenticator app and you would like to change default MFA method to SMS text (or vice versa), you can simply sign in to https://aka.ms/mfasetup, click on Change in the Default sign-in method line, then click Confirm.
