STUDENT: I'm trying to submit a VoiceThread post, but after I sign in, I'm brought back to the Blackboard welcome page. What should I do?

Use this guidance to resolve login issues with VoiceThread assignments within Blackboard.

If you’re new to VoiceThread assignments in Blackboard, you might need to log in and identify your institution the first time you use it. Here’s how to get started:

1. Click the VoiceThread link within your Blackboard course.
2. Log in with your BSU Single Sign-On (SSO) credentials when prompted by VoiceThread.

After logging in, your page should refresh and load the VoiceThread assignment. If you’re redirected to the Blackboard homepage instead:

1. Click the assignment link again to see if your account was authenticated. If you continue to be redirected to the Blackboard homepage, the problem may not be with your account but rather a problem with the your browser or security settings. 
2. If the problem persists, switch to the Chrome browser. VoiceThread Support insists that using Chrome or Firefox works best.

If switching browsers doesn’t help, enable third-party cookies in your browser. VoiceThread provides step-by-step instructions for each browser type.
