Windows 10: There are keyboard shortcuts available when you switch to the International English keyboard. To do so:
- Open Windows Settings
- Click on Time & Language
- Click on Language
- Under the "Preferred languages" section, select the current default language
- Click the Options button
- Under the "Keyboards" section, click the Add a keyboard button
- Select the new keyboard layout (United States-International)
- Click the arrow in the top of the window to go back to the Language page
- Click Keyboard, then select English (United States) - United States-International in the Override for default input method drop-down list
Now holding the right Alt key and typing a letter will give you letters with accents. An example of some of the options is below

For Mac users: hold in the key you're typing and you will receive a menu to choose from, for example, hold in the "a" key to get a menu for á,à,ä, etc and you can simply select the one you want. This also holds true for mobile users on iOS and Android.
