STUDENT: ULTRA: How can I access a course site from a previous semester?

Summary

This article provides guidance on what students need to do to gain access to a past Blackboard course site.

Body

After a semester ends and a bit of time has passed, Information Technology makes all Blackboard course sites unavailable to students. If a student needs to access a course from a previous semester again, Information Technology cannot make the course site available without instructor consent. Students will need to first contact the faculty member who taught the course for their permission. The faculty member can then either make the course site available themselves or request assistance from IT.

If the student cannot get a response from the faculty member, they should contact the department chairperson and/or dean.
