STUDENT: Accessing Zoom Error (Zoom LTI) from Safari

Use this article to update your Safari preferences when you encounter Session Expired error accessing Zoom from Blackboard. Safari v.14 / (MacOS Big Sur)

Students may encounter this error when using Safari v.14  to enter Zoom meetings via the Zoom LTI tool in Blackboard. It is the result of Blackboard SSO (Single Sign-On) credentials not being successfully passed along to Zoom. 

 

 

To allow credentials to pass, go to the Preferences control panel in Safari. 

 

 

Under the Privacy tab, un-check the “Prevent cross-site tracking” option.
