Installing Creative Cloud
Please follow the instructions below to access your Adobe account and install Creative Cloud. If you are using a BSU computer, you may not have the ability to install software. If that is the case, please contact IT Support at itsupport@bridgew.edu or call 508.531.2555.
You can access a PDF of the below instructions (right hand frame of this page, you might need to scroll a little) if you'd like to have a document for reference.
First, log in to Adobe
- Launch https://www.adobe.com
- If you see a profile icon at the top right, skip to Step #10
- Select “Sign in” at the top right of the Adobe home page
- Enter your BSU email address

- If prompted, choose the “Company or School Account” option (otherwise continue to next step)

- Adobe will bring you through to the BSU login process, including MFA if needed
- IN SOME CASES you may be prompted to select a profile. Choose the “Bridgewater State University” profile option with the MOST CARTOONISH icon – it may NOT appear exactly as below If you do not receive this prompt, continue to the next step

- You may be asked to provide some additional information. You can skip some (like alternate email address or phone number) if desired; others are required by Adobe to initialize your account
- You should now be signed into your Adobe account in your web browser
Second, install the Creative Cloud launcher app
- On the left side bar, select Apps

- Check as to whether you see “Install” in some of the tiles in the main part of the page
- If you do NOT – select your profile icon at the top right and choose Switch Profile to try another profile option
- When you do see install options, select your profile icon at the top right
- Select “Install Creative Cloud Desktop” near the bottom of the menu

- Select the installer from your browser downloads to begin

- Wait for the Adobe Creative Cloud application to install. Click OK or Yes to any prompts. Default options are correct. You must have installation rights on your computer to add Creative Cloud.
- You can skip the questions regarding your industry and intended usage of Creative Cloud, if desired
- When the Adobe Creative Cloud application launches after installation, you can switch back to your browser and close the Adobe tab
Third, install your desired Creative Cloud applications
- Back in the Creative Cloud launcher, click “Apps” from the left icon bar to ensure you’re on the tab for applications

- Choose a category from along the top or scroll down the main window on the right to browse applications

- Click the “Install” button associated with the application you’d like to install (you can add multiple titles to the installation queue)

- Wait for your application(s) to download and install. Please be patient with your computer – some Adobe applications are quite large and may take a while. You can check progress by clicking the cloud icon in the top right section.
