Share a Video from YouTube using Zoom or Microsoft Teams

Body

If professors need to share a video from YouTube using Zoom or Microsoft Teams, it is best they have the video embedded into their power point.  If faculty are using a link, it may not share to the in classroom projection screen or the video has to be downloaded to the desktop. See enclosed Power Point example.

  • The best way to do this is have them create a power point in Office 365 by logging onto bridgew.net, go into the left waffle screen, and open up office 365.  Use PowerPoint in Office 365.
  • In your web browser, locate the video you want.
  • Copy the URL of the web page from the address bar of your browser.
  • Return to PowerPoint and select the slide where you want to place the video.
  • On the Insert tab of the ribbon, select Video > Online Video.
  • In the Online Video dialog box, paste the URL you copied in step 2.
  • Select Insert.
