First, you will need to create a Padlet with the appropriate settings:  https://padlet.help/l/en/article/f5of9fy9lc-how-do-i-create-a-padlet

Next, you will need to add the Padlet to your Blackboard Course via the Content Market. 

  • In your Blackboard Ultra course, navigate to the area where you want to add the Padlet (e.g., a specific module or folder).  
  • Click the (+) to add content
  • Select "Content Market" from the dropdown menu. 

2. Find and Select the Padlet Tool

  • In the Content Market, scroll down and find "Padlet" 
  • Locate the official Padlet LTI tool and select it. 

3. Choose Your Padlet Board

  • You will be presented with a list of your existing Padlet boards.
  • Select the specific Padlet board you want to add to your Blackboard course.
  • After adding the Padlet, click on it to ensure it's properly integrated and accessible to your students.

You can click the Open in New button in the upper right corner to open outside of Blackboard and adjust settings, enable grading, etc.

​​​​Grade Student Work in Padlet

  • Access the Padlet Board: Go to the Padlet board linked within your Blackboard Ultra course.
  • Review Student Posts: Assess each student's contribution based on the established rubric.
  • Enter Grades in Padlet: Use the built-in grading features within Padlet. 
    • In the Padlet settings, select the ellipses (...) for More Padlet actions, then select "Gradebook".
      • Set a Max score and select the Grade Calculation
      • Enter in student grades
  • Provide Feedback: Leave specific, constructive feedback for each student.

IF you'd like to Sync Grades to Blackboard Ultra so students can see their grades:

  • Trigger Grade Sync: Once you've finished grading, trigger the grade sync within Padlet.  
    Toggle on Sync grades to LMS.  This allows grades to be sent back to your Blackboard gradebook.
  • Verify Grade Sync: Check your Blackboard Ultra gradebook to ensure grades have been successfully synced.
