This process is for personal devices and should not be used if the device was issued by BSU.
The advantage of connecting a device via the SecureW2 platform is a user will authenticate one time (per device) with their current username and password. The device will leverage a "certificate" that SecureW2 puts on their device that will automatically authenticate the user. If the users password changes their WiFi connection will not be interrupted.
Users can pre-configure their devices to work on the BSU_Wireless WiFi network before arriving to campus. If a user has arrived on site but wasn't aware of this option, they can still follow this process. For devices that do not have a cellular plan for data, they will first need to join the BSU_Guest network and then follow the below steps.
Below is an example of using an iPhone. Users will be able to follow the on screen instructions. Some devices may vary slightly from the example shown. Please refer to the SecureW2 website for the instructions provided by SecureW2 for Androids, iOS, Windows OS and MacOS.
1. Users can go to the following this LINK (https://cloud.securew2.com/public/11944/BSU_Wireless/) or scan this QR code.
2. Click Sign In.
3. Enter your BSU email (username@bridgew.edu) and password
4. Click on JoinNow
5. Click "Allow" when being informed the website is trying to download a configuration profile.
6. These are the onscreen instructions a user will need to follow.
7. Go to the Settings app -> Click on Profile Downloaded
8. Click install.
9. Click install.
10. Click done.
