Sharing your Google Doc version history can help professors ensure that your writing is original. In order to hand in a Google Doc with the version history to your professor, follow these steps.
Important: Ensure you write the paper in Google Doc. If not, your professor will not be able to view the version history.
- Write your paper in Google Doc.
- Press the "Share" option in the top right.
- Enter your professor's email.
- Set their access to "Editor."
- This permission allows your professor to view the document's version history.
- (Optional) Uncheck "Notify people" unless your professor asks to receive an email notification.
- Submit your Google Doc as required.
- Do not convert it to a Word document or PDF if you want to keep the version history visible.
