Bridgewater State University is currently updating how university-managed Windows computers are managed and secured. As this work continues across campus, faculty, staff, and students may notice a change to the Windows sign-in screen on some computers.
Please pay attention to the sign-in screen when logging in, as the information you are asked to enter may be different depending on the computer you are using.

What’s changing?
On computers using the current sign-in, you’ll continue to enter your BSU username and password. On computers that have been moved to the new system, the sign-in screen will ask for your full BSU email address and password instead.
Your BSU password is not changing. The important thing is to check the sign-in screen and enter either your username or full BSU email address as prompted.
Why are we making this change?
The new sign-in is part of BSU’s move to a more modern way of managing university computers. It will help us keep devices up to date, apply security protections more consistently, and better protect BSU accounts and university data.
This transition is ongoing, so you may see both versions of the sign-in screen as computers across campus are moved to the new system.
There is nothing you need to do ahead of time. When signing in to a BSU Windows computer, simply check the screen and use the type of sign-in it requests.
