Installing or Upgrading to SPSS 29 on BSU Computer

Please refer to the appropriate section below to install SPSS on your BSU-issued computer.

SPSS on macOS

1. Find and launch the Self Service application (see icon for reference), which is located in the Finder or on the Launchpad.    
2. When Self Service opens, select "Install" next to SPSS.   If present, SPSS 28 will be uninstalled and SPSS 29 will install.
3. As soon as the installation has finished, please launch the software, and click on the license wizard when prompted. Copy/paste the license key provided on the installation in Self Service.

SPSS on Windows - Please note you'll either need to be on-campus or connected via the VPN

1. Open Software Center from your desktop
2. Click on Applications
3. Click on the  IBM SPSS Statistics 29 icon and follow the on-screen instructions.
   
4. If prompted to restart, save and close any open work and restart the computer.

The software is licensed automatically and you should be ready to use it as soon as the installation finishes (or after restart, if required).
