FACULTY: How can I share a film or documentary with my students?

Summary

Use the details in this KB article to provide faculty with guidance on the steps to have a film or documentary placed on the Library's MAX Streaming Server for viewing in class or via Blackboard.

Body

In order to stay in compliance with fair use/copyright law restrictions, faculty who wish to share a video with students in the classroom or online should request that Maxwell Library Services purchase the video and post it on their MAX Streaming Video Server.

Requests can be made through https://library.bridgew.edu/services/mvs. Click the Video Streaming Request Form button in the upper right corner to request a particular video.

This image depicts the Video Streaming Request website with a highlighted area focusing on the Video Request Form in the top right corner.

Once the form has been submitted, the Library will provide faculty with a link to the video; faculty can then click on the link in their classrooms to view the video or post the video link in their Blackboard course sites.

NOTE: Please allow up to 2 weeks for video delivery.
