Housing Withdrawal & Cancellation Fee Policy

Housing Withdrawal & Cancellation Fee Policy

Students who deposit for housing and choose not to live on campus will forfeit their housing deposit and incur a housing cancellation fee listed below.

Fee would only be applied to students who continue at the University but do not remain in the residence halls.  Fee would not be applied to students who leave between the fall and spring semester if they break their Residence Hall License Agreement for academic reasons, such as internships, student teaching, study abroad, or graduation.

Students who are leaving housing should contact our office to speak to a team member. Students who are petitioning to be released from their license agreement due to a medical/psychological or financial reasons should complete the petition to be released from housing. Students who are completing an internship, graduating, transferring, withdrawing from BSU, completing student teaching requirements or on active duty leave should provide documentation of those circumstances to have charges removed from their account. Students can complete either process by using this link.
