Frequently Asked Questions

The most frequently asked question is "Why am I receiving notifications to complete training when I've already completed it?"

The security awareness training campaign consists of two modules and one policy. All content below must be completed for your account to be marked as "completed" security awareness training.

When you complete the training, the portal should look like the image below. Please note the "complete" ribbon on each module:

I just did the training, why do I need to do it again?

The security awareness training campaign started on October 1, 2024. Sometimes someone may complete the training in August or September and then be prompted to complete it again in October. Once you complete the training after October 1, you will not receive any requests to complete training until October of 2025.

How do I access the security awareness training?

Do I need to download, print, and/or store the certificates of completion?

No. You do not need to download, print, or otherwise store any certificates of completion for the security awareness training. However, please note that the printed certificates would look great hanging up in your office.

Why is security awareness training so important?

Security awareness training remains the #1 control for higher education as an industry. This is cited in many reports including Verizon's Data Breach Investigations Report and Microsoft's Digital Defense Report. To request a copy of these reports, please email security@bridgew.edu.
