Requesting a Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365 License (Premium add-on license)
Bridgewater State University’s IT Department centrally manages Microsoft Copilot 365 Premium Add-on licensing (the license that departments may purchase). If your department would like to purchase a paid license of Microsoft Copilot 365 Premium, then follow the steps below so IT can process payment and provision the license.
If you are interested in M365 Copilot Chat which has fewer features and no additional costs but still offers Enterprise level features and protections, see this article.

Steps to Request M365 Copilot Premium Add-on License
Bridgewater State University’s IT Department centrally manages all Microsoft licensing. If your department would like to purchase CoPilot for Microsoft 365, follow the steps below so IT can process payment and provision the license.
1 | Send the User List
Complete the Request New License(s) form to identify anyone from your department who needs a CoPilot for Microsoft 365 license.
2 | Transfer the Funds
After you complete the submission process, your email client should open with the details of your license and the budget transfer. Per that email, you will submit a one-time budget transfer to Information Technology for the current fiscal year using the Budget Transfer Form. The annual cost is $206 per user ($17.17/month × 12 months), prorated if the subscription is for less than a full year.

3 | Provisioning by IT
IT will assign CoPilot licenses in Microsoft 365. You will receive a confirmation email once provisioning is complete, which may take anywhere from a day to several weeks, depending on whether BSU needs to purchase additional licenses through our vendor.
4 | Activate on Your Computer
