Common infobear login issues


InfoBear full functionality is available to all registered students, faculty, and staff.  Financial aid information is available to prospective students.

If you are a new or returning student who has committed to BSU and indicated your intent to enroll, you can access InfoBear using your new BSU username and password (BSU usernames and email accounts are automatically generated for students who have submitted a deposit and intend to enroll) with the Single Sign On (SSO) option.

If you are a faculty or staff member, you should also log into InfoBear via Single Sign On (SSO).  The SSO login page for Infobear is

If you are an accepted student but have not yet submitted your deposit and intent to enroll, you can access InfoBear to view your financial aid award information before making a decision to enroll.  In this case, you must log into InfoBear via Bear (Banner) ID and PIN on this Infobear alternate login page.


Possible issues when attempting to log into InfoBear:

Error: Authorization Failure - Invalid Bear (Banner) ID or PIN

** Note that login errors due to PINs will only occur when a prospective student is logging in via Bear (Banner) ID and PIN to view financial aid award information.  Current students, faculty, and staff should all use single sign on at
If InfoBear is prompting you to login again, you may be using the wrong Banner ID or PIN.  Please verify your Banner ID and PIN using the Banner ID/PIN Lookup Tool


Error: Web Access has been disabled because of repeated attempts

The Banner ID/ PIN Lookup Tool will also unlock your InfoBear account. 

  1. Go to the Banner ID/PIN Lookup Tool
  2. Log in with your BSU Username (everything before the @ symbol in your BSU email address) and password
  3. Your Banner ID and PIN will display on the screen. Make sure you have the correct information. 
  4. Try logging into InfoBear again


Forgotten/Lost Bear (Banner) ID and PIN

If you are a prospective student who is trying to view your financial aid award details and have forgotten or lost your Bear (Banner) ID and/or PIN, you will need to contact BSU Admissions at 508.531.1237 or email
