Before beginning be sure to save all work in progress as this will require restarting your machine.
1. Navigate to the Windows button on bottom left and in the search bar to the right of the Windows button type in “Printers & scanners” and select to open.
2. From the list of added printers find the Universal Print enabled printers. Only printers added via Universal Print are impacted. Universal Print printers are listed by building information.
Note: Any printer with a name that includes “printserv” or any personal/home or local printer can be ignored.
Example 1: is a “printserv” printer and can be ignored.
Example 2: is a Universal Print enabled printer (has full building info) and will need to be remapped.

3. Next, remove each printer object by clicking the device and clicking “Remove” in the top right corner. The printer will no longer appear on the list.

4. After you have removed all Universal Print printers, click on the Windows button and follow the steps below to restart your machine.
Please be sure to save all work in progress, prior to restarting your machine.

5. After successful reboot: Click on the Windows button or search on “Printers & scanners” from the Windows Search bar on the bottom left of your screen. Select to open (as directed in Step 1).

6. Click the blue “Add device” button and on the next screen.

7. Use the “Refresh” button to refresh the list of printers and scanners. Make sure the Show printers and scanners associated with my field “Work or School” is selected (if not use the drop-down menu to select). Click “Select a search location” to see all available printers in a building. Select your desired printer and click “Add device”.

8. While the printer is being added you will see the words “Connecting”, please do not click off the settings page until you see the device listed as “Ready”. Once you see the device listed as “Ready” the process is complete.
