ALL USERS: Creating a Free ChatGPT Generative AI Account

This KB article explains how to sign up for a free individual ChatGPT account. 

Note that BSU policy does not support using an individual (free or paid) ChatGPT plan for university operations. For university operations, your department may purchase the ChatGPT for Business license (see How do I get a ChatGPT paid license?). If, however, you use a BSU device to access an individual account, use your BSU credentials via the Google sign on for individual ChatGPT accounts.

Steps to creating a ChatGPT free individual account

1. Go to chatgpt.com and click the Log in or Sign up for free button in the upper right corner.

2. At the log in screen, select Continue with Google.

b) Enter your BSU email address

c) You will be prompted to log into BSU.

d) Enter a verification code sent to your BSU email address, if applicable.
