FACULTY: How to Embed YouTube videos via HTML

To embed a YouTube video into a new course document, follow these steps: 

  1. Navigate to the Content tab.
  2. Click the plus sign (+) wherever you want the content to go. The (+) can be found at the top of your content page and also appears when you hover over the lines between any items.
  3. Click Create then choose Document.
  4. Choose the </>HTML option 
  5. In a separate browser tab or window, locate the YouTube video you wish to embed in Blackboard
    1. Click the Share button (an arrow underneath the video), then click the <>Embed option
    2. Copy the entire section of code on that page by clicking the Copy button
  6. Back in the Blackboard window, paste that code into the section you opened in step 4. A video preview should display, once it appears click the Save button

NOTE: If you want to add a video to an existing document, add a new section to that document then follow the instructions from step 4
