Wireless: BSU_Gadgets & BSU_GameConsoles Wireless Networks

Before assisting a student, first ask: "What type of device are you trying to connect?"

Important Information

  • BSU_Gadgets and BSU_GameConsoles are only available in the residence halls.
  • PC gaming computers should connect to BSU_Wireless using the student's BSU credentials.
  • Phones, tablets, and computers should always use BSU_Wireless for the best experience.

Which Network Should I Use?

BSU_Gadgets

Use this network for:

  • Smart TVs
  • Streaming devices (Fire TV, Roku, Apple TV, etc.)
  • Certain smart home devices
  • Game consoles that do not require an Open NAT

Password: resnet7999

BSU_GameConsoles

Use this network only for:

  • Game consoles that require an Open NAT type for online gaming

Password: MBkCvjbnGkhRHSTzCDyySQwY

How to Connect

  1. Select BSU_Gadgets or BSU_GameConsoles from the list of available wireless networks.
  2. Enter the appropriate network password.
  3. Accept any security warning if prompted.

Nintendo Wii

BSU_Gadgets and BSU_GameConsoles are not compatible with the Nintendo Wii. However, there is a workaround:

  1. Purchase a USB-to-Ethernet adapter that explicitly supports the Nintendo Wii.
  2. Submit a ResNet Wired Connection Request to activate the wired connection.

Need Help?

If a student is unable to connect or has questions about the residence hall gaming networks, they should Submit a Service Request to ResNet.for assistance.
