How to Secure Sensitive Data in Email

These instructions will show you how to secure sensitive data (SSN, Credit Card, Passport Numbers...) in any email systems.  It is recommended to remove this data completely from your mailbox.

IF YOU ARE THE RECIPIENT

  1. Go to the Inbox folder, delete the message containing sensitive data.
  2. Go to the Deleted Items folder, delete the message again to remove it completely from your mailbox.

IF YOU ARE THE SENDER

  1. Go to the Sent Items folder, delete the message containing sensitive data.
  2. Go to the Deleted Items folder, delete the message again to remove it completely from your mailbox.
