When you lose your phone or purchase a new one, a BSU support team member may give you a temporary access pass (TAP) to bypass multi-factor authentication (MFA) so you can temporarily access your account without a phone. Once you have signed in successfully, you should immediate update your MFA method in order to access your account in the future.
1. Go to https://aka.ms/mysecurityinfo from a device other than your phone
2. Sign in to your account using the TAP token given to you

3. On the Security info screen, click on Add sign-in method

4. Choose Authenticator app in the drop-down menu and click Add

5. Follow the prompts to complete the enrollment process

6. Once you are back to the Security info screen, review and delete any obsolete MFA method from the list
