ALL USERS: How do I share sound when screen sharing in Zoom?

Sharing a video in class, but your audience can’t hear the audio? Zoom requires an extra step to include your computer's sound during screen sharing.

Steps to Share Audio in Zoom

  1. When you're ready to share your screen, click Share Screen in the Zoom toolbar.

  2. In the screen selection window, look for the Share sound checkbox in the bottom-left corner.

  3. Make sure Share sound is checked before clicking Share.

💡 Zoom allows you to share:

  • Your entire desktop

  • A specific window or application

  • Just your computer’s audio (mono or stereo)

Enabling Share sound ensures attendees hear the video or media you're playing, creating a smoother and more engaging experience.
