MFA - Number Matching

Starting on February 2023, Microsoft Authenticator will prompt you to enter a number displayed on the sign-in screen when approving an MFA request in Microsoft Authenticator. This new experience further protects you from potential accidental approvals and phishing attempts.

If you use the Microsoft Authenticator App, instead of clicking "approve" you'll need to match the number on your screen by typing it into the Microsoft Authenticator App on your smartphone.

The screen shots below illustrate the Before and After experience.
