Blackboard Professional Development
Bridgewater State University faculty and staff have access to Blackboard Professional Development, an online collection of self-paced training courses and resources provided by Anthology.
These resources can help you learn more about Blackboard Learn Ultra, course design, accessibility, online teaching, assessment, and other instructional technology topics.
What is included?
The Blackboard Professional Development catalog includes training on topics such as:
- Blackboard Learn Ultra
- Course design and organization
- Accessibility and inclusive teaching practices
- Online and hybrid instruction
- Student engagement strategies
- Assessment and grading
Available offerings may change over time as Anthology adds new content to the catalog.
Requesting access
Access to Blackboard Professional Development is available to BSU faculty and staff.
To request access, please contact the Teaching & Technology Center at ttc@bridgew.edu or submit a TTC support request.
Once your request is received, the TTC will provide the information needed to activate your subscription.
Getting started
After receiving enrollment instructions from the TTC:
- Create a Blackboard Professional Development account using your BSU email address.
- Verify your email address and complete account setup.
- Use the enrollment validation code provided by the TTC to activate BSU's institutional subscription.
The validation code functions like a coupon code and is used to verify your affiliation with Bridgewater State University. You will not be charged during the enrollment process.
Once activated, you will have access to the full Blackboard Professional Development catalog included with BSU's subscription.
