STUDENT: I'm trying to submit a VoiceThread post, but after I sign in, I'm brought back to the Blackboard welcome page. What should I do?

If you are trying to take part in a VoiceThread assignment in Blackboard for the first time, you may be asked to identify your institution and log in.  Upon clicking on a Voicethread link within a Blackboard course, Voicethread will prompt you to sign in through their college/university.

After logging in with your BSU Single Sign-On (SSO) credentials, your webpage should refresh and then load in the Voicethread assignment page. If you instead get kicked out of the Voicethread assignment, and the page refreshes to the Blackboard homepage, you should try clicking on the assignment once more to see if your account was authenticated. If you continue to be redirected to the Blackboard homepage, the problem may not be with your account but rather a problem with the your browser or security settings.

The easy fix that often works: Switch to the Chrome Browser. VoiceThread Support insists that the Chrome and FireFox browsers work best.

If that does not work, try enabling third party cookies in the browser. VoiceThread provides step-by-step instructions for each browser type.

If you are still having issues, email ITsupport@bridgew.edu with the details of the problem and which browser you are using.
