ALL USERS: Where is spellcheck in the Blackboard content editor?

Blackboard Ultra’s content editor does not include its own built-in spell check tool. Instead, it relies on your web browser’s spell checker.

How Spell Check Works in Blackboard Ultra

  • When you misspell a word, a red squiggly underline appears beneath it.

  • This underline is generated by your browser’s spell checker, not Blackboard.

  • To fix the word:

    • Right-click on the underlined word.

    • Choose from your browser’s list of suggested corrections.

💡 Tip:
Spell checking behavior may vary slightly depending on the browser you use. If you don’t see underlines or suggestions, check your browser settings to ensure spell check is enabled.
