STUDENT: ULTRA: Where do I find my grades, attempts, and feedback on graded work?

Discover how to view your grades, submission attempts, and instructor feedback (when provided) for graded items in Blackboard by following the guidance below:

  1. Go to your course's page and click Gradebook from the navigation bar under the course name. Graded items will be listed below.

A. The Current Grade shows an overall view of how you're doing in the course based on your performance to date. Your instructor may choose not to add an overall grade. You can click on the Grade in this oval to learn more about the assignments and tests that make up your grade.

B. For each item, you can see details about the due date, the number of submission attempts, your grade (if graded yet), and if your professor left feedback. After the due date passes, submission info appears in red. If you’re allowed only one attempt and submit before the due date, you won’t see the second line of text for the item.

C. Click on an item to open the Details & Information panel and view your current grade and how it was calculated. You can also view how many attempts you have and if any submissions are or will be late.

D. If the due date has passed, you’re informed the next attempt will be marked late.

E. Click on the grade in the Details & Information panel to access your submission. If you made multiple submissions, the Submission panel opens. If your instructor annotated a file you uploaded as your submission, you can view the annotations in line.

In the Submission panel, you can view your attempts and any feedback from your professor.

  • Select the attempt you want to view.
  • The submission opens, and you can view your grade and how it was calculated.
  • You can review your work and expand the Feedback panel if your instructor left comments.
  • If your instructor left feedback for multiple attempts, you can read each attempt's feedback. A message appears if your instructor has overridden the item's final grade.
