ALL USERS: How do I set-up and access Zoom AI Companion meeting summaries?

This Bridgewater State University IT Knowledge Base article provides step-by-step instructions on how to set-up and view summaries for scheduled meetings using Zoom AI Companion. 

1. Go to http://bridgew.zoom.us

2. Click sign-in and sign in using BSU credentials

3. Go to “Settings” located on the left side panel

4. You should already be within the “AI Companion” menu, but if you are not, navigate to it via the Settings bar.

5. Scroll down to the “Meeting” section or select it from the smaller list on the left.

6. Ensure that “Meeting Summary with AI Companion” bubble is toggled ON (blue).

7. Directly below, you will see three checkboxes. For AI Companion to automatically start at the beginning of each meeting, check Turn on meeting summary automatically when meetings start. If you prefer to turn this on manually at the start of each meeting, then make sure it is unchecked. 

If you would like to notify meeting invitees that an AI summary of the meeting will occur, then check Send an email notification when sharing with users.

If you do NOT want invitees to automatically receive the AI summary, then additionally select “Don’t include summary text in the email" from the drop-down menu below the second checkbox.

8. If you are sharing the AI summary automatically, you may further specify who receives it by selecting one of the four bubbles indicating who receives the email of your meeting summary. Select “Only me (meeting host)” to make your summary private, or “All meeting invitees including those outside our organization” to make your summary public.

Zoom will automatically send you an email of the AI meeting summary following the meeting.
