FACULTY: ULTRA: Manually Downloading Course Files from Blackboard’s Content Collection

If you need to extract all your course files manually from Blackboard without exporting them as a Common Cartridge, you can download them from the Content Collection.

Steps to Download Course Files Manually

  1. Log into Blackboard and navigate to Tools section.
  2. Click Content Collection > [Your Course Name].
  3. You’ll see a list of all files stored within your course.
  4. To download individual files:
    • Click the dropdown arrow next to a file and select Download.
  5. To download multiple files at once:
    • Select the checkboxes next to the files/folders you need.
    • Click the Download Package button to download them as a .zip file.
  6. Extract the .zip file on your computer to access all the course materials.

Note: This method only downloads raw files (e.g., PDFs, PowerPoints, Word documents) and does not preserve the course structure, quizzes, or discussions.
