If you are unable to open a link or download an attachment in Outlook, it may be because it is still being processed by ATP Safe Links (to scan it for viruses, malware, etc.). While links should be scanned relatively quickly, large attachments may take a little while to process. If you see the message “ATP Scan In Progress” in your email, follow these steps:
- Keep Outlook open, but exit out of the email
- Wait 5-10 minutes before opening it again
- Open the email, and if the message no longer appears you should be able to download it
If ATP Safe Links found anything malicious in the attachment, it will alert you that it is unsafe. Do not open it, and forward the email to itsupport@bridgew.edu so we can investigate it further.
