FACULTY: ULTRA: Disable Ally for items in Blackboard Ultra

Ally is built into Ultra on a institution wide level. As an instructor, you can disable it individually on items in your course sites.

1. Click the ALLY icon next to any item you want to switch-off.
   
    
2. The Download alternative formats box will appear, click the drop-down arrow near the top.
   
    
3. You will then see the option to ‘disable alternative formats for this file’, click the text.
   
    
4. The Ally window will now change, and alternative formats are now disabled.
   
    
5. If you want to turn Ally back on for documents, click the Ally logo next to them and select 'enable for this item'.
