If you are teaching with Blackboard Ultra this semester, you may have noticed that the “Send Email” tool in your Ultra courses is gone – so where is it?
“Send Email” has been replaced by the Messages tool, which functions in a similar way. You can still send emails to individual students or your entire class roster through the Messages tool, but now your students will also receive a copy of your message in a central “Messages” location in Blackboard.
Within your Ultra course site, click the link to the Messages link in your top menu bar (see image below). To learn more, view Blackboard’s 3-minute video on “Messages”. You may fast forward through the parts of the video where they demonstrate how Messages works in the previous version of Blackboard, Learn Original.
