Part-time Faculty: Getting Started with Ultra!

Welcome to BSU!  We are excited that you are here and that you are eager to learn about our learning management system, Blackboard Ultra.  The resources here will help you get an overview of Blackboard Ultra, so that you are ready to start building your course site!

The first thing you may be wondering, is how to navigate Blackboard Ultra and how you can add items to your Blackboard Ultra site before making your course available to students.  You can personalize your course right from the top with course banner and tile images.  You can create assignments and discussions, and if your course is synchronous, you may want to add Zoom meetings to your site as well.  Once you have built your class site, you can access the Blackboard Ally accessibility report to learn how you can make your course more inclusive and accessible and add student accommodations.

Blackboard Ultra also has some AI design features that can help you to create learning modulestests and rubrics.

As soon as you get your log in credentials, you can dive in deeper to learning about Blackboard Ultra with the self-paced Blackboard Ultra Learn teaching essentials course.  If your question wasn’t answered here, there are TTC Knowledgebase articles on a variety of specific Blackboard Ultra questions, and if you are eager to learn more directly from Anthology, you can follow upcoming changes to Blackboard Ultra.
